Jon Arnold

Jon Arnold

Jon is a 28-year US Air Force veteran and spent 7 years as a defense contractor before retiring to Howey in the Hills in 2015. He currently serves on the town council, is a member of the Howey Garden and Civic Club in addition to serving as the Vice President as the Friends of the Library. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and Golden Gate University. His hobbies include reading and model building, He is married to Mary Ellen Arnold, they both have three children and six grandchildren.

Louise Kish

Louise Kish

Louise is a 20-year Navy veteran. Originally from Oregon, Louise recently move to Howey in the Hills and is finding the town both beautiful and friendly. She brings a wealth of administrative skills to the table and hopes to be useful to the library and this community for many years to come.

Tahsia

Tahsia O’Keefe

Originally from Texas, Tahsia pursued her education in New Hampshire, earning a liberal arts degree. While in Italy, she met her husband, and they married before moving to South Korea, where they traveled extensively across Asia with their older children. Now settled in beautiful Howey-in-the-Hills, she homeschools her six children and fosters a love for learning through their large home library. She deeply appreciates the importance of libraries in providing access to books and educational programs, enriching communities and inspiring lifelong learning. She enjoys reading, dancing, learning languages, and spending time with her family. Tahsia is most especially a proud karate and ballet mom!
Melinda Stovall

Melinda Stovall

Became a member of Friends of the Library in December 2024. I live in Mission Inn with my husband. I love to read, travel and be outdoors.

Steve Weimer

Steve Weimer

Steve Weimer is the Treasurer of the Friends of the Library, holding this position since 2022. He is a seasoned financial executive, having served in C-suite audit and compliance positions during his career. From a non-profit standpoint, he has served on Advisory Boards for the High Museum of Art and Stetson University. He has also served as past President of the Howey Men’s Club.
